He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mike Wiemers and Anna Wiemers (Schoon); his wife Donna Frank; his children, Diane Morrison of Grimes, David Wiemers (Peggy) of Bayard and Duane Wiemers (Beth) of Pocahontas; his brother Maynard Wiemers of Humboldt; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Day (Don) of Gilmore City and Armona Redenius (Allan) of Fort Dodge. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Denzil was a member of First Lutheran Church in Gilmore where he served on church council and took part in numerous charity benefits through the Lutheran Brotherhood organization.
