He was predeceased by: his mother Mardella Janssen (Claussen); his former wife Kathryn Vetter; his brother Daniel; and his grandparents, John Janssen (Opa) and Elsie (Oma).
He is survived by: his father Harold Janssen; his wife Anita Vetter; his sons, Jonathan Janssen (Maradith) of Earlham, IA and Chris Janssen (Dawn) of Gilmore City, IA; his stepdaughters, Debra Forst (Edward) and Dawn Hock (Andy); his grandchildren, Brady, Carly, Delaney, Madeline, Kathryn, Jonathan David Harold Janssen (JD), Jacob, Nicholas Forst, Drew Elaine and William Hock; and his brother Dallas Janssen (Tammy) of Gilmore City. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
