He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Wolken and Elsie Wolken; and his great grandchild Ethan Hungerford. He is survived by: his wife Donna Wolken; his children, Deb Cooling (Duane), Ann Frost (Kirby), Danny Wolken (Cindy Davidson) and Mary Dannen (Jim); his grandchildren, Teri Hungerford (Tim), Trent Cooling (Dusty), Justin Frost (Michele), Breanne Brummel (Mike), Megan Seymour (Ira), Sarah Davison (Brandon), Wade Wolken (Rachel), Nathan Wolken (Allison), Jake Dannen and Zach Dannen (Cari Linkenmeyer); his sister Bernice Stonewall (Dale); and his brother-in-law Merl Niederhauser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon, the Max and Myles foundation, Ethan Hungerford Memorial Scholarship.
