He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Xavier Delagardelle and Mary Ann Delagardelle (Nie); his grandchildren, Natalie Trebon and Branden Curl; his siblings, John Delagardelle (Joan), Joe Delagardelle, Leo Delagardelle (Irma), Willard Delagardelle (Helen), Alma Schares (Fritz) and Esther Delagardelle; and his brother-in-law LeRoy Schmit.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Schares of Gilbertville; his children, Terry Delagardelle (Lori) of Jesup, Chuck Delagardelle (Wendy) of Jesup, Leon Delagardelle (Lisa) of Jesup, Duane Delagardelle of Arlington, MN, Kevin Delagardelle of Raymond, IA, Connie Trebon (Chuck) of Waterloo, IA, Dawn Weber (Glen) of Gilbertville and Shari Alberts (Brian) of Swisher, IA; and his siblings, Paul Delagardelle of Gilbertville, Irvin Delagardelle (Donna), Norman Delagardelle (Linda) of Jesup, Clem Delagardelle (Kay) of Gilbertville, Dorothy Waddell (Warren) of Waterloo, Dolores Even (Ted) of Gilbertville, Joan Schmit of Jesup, Mary Schmitz (Dick) of Waterloo, Wilma Mullen (Tom) and Betty Youngblut (Joe) of Jesup. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.
Memorials will be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Bosco System and Cedar Valley Hospice.
