With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marguerite Mary Kurtz of Gilbertville, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on September 15, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vince Rechtfertig and Florence Rechtfertig (Mathes); her husband Delbert D. Kurtz; her siblings, John Rechtfertig, Richard "Dick" Rechtfertrig and Theresa Parker; and her fiancé Elmer H. Berns.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Cae McNellis (Bill) of Cedar Falls, Joe Kurtz (Terri) of Bettendorf and Janet Erdahl (Jerry) of La Porte; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Parker and Helen Kurtz. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Marguerite's name to her family which will be later designated to Immaculate Conception Church or Sacred Heart Church.
