She is survived by: her parents, John Lutgen and Susan Welter Lutgen; her spouse Louis M. Schmit; her children, Dennis J. (Barb) of Atlanta, Scott L. (Dawna) of Gilbertville, Mary J. Borwig of Waterloo, Becky S. Woodyard (Bill) and Lois A. Weber (Peter); and her siblings, Casper "Butch" Lutgen of LaPorte City, Rita Weber of Gilbertville and Theresa Delagardelle of Cedar Falls. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
