With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Junior Duffy of Gilbert, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert B. Duffy and Bertha Duffy (Carroll); his stepson Nicholas J. Duffy; his stepmother Violet Duffy; his wife Marcia Dighton; and his brother Gib.
He is survived by: his former wife Lois Seigfreid; his daughters, Jaclyn (Jackie) and Taylor; his granddaughters, Jackie Burns (Ryan) of Brookfield and Taylor Rowland (Evan) of Rogersville, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Emmett Nicholas Burns, Jentry Rae Burns and Eleanor Diane Rowland; his siblings, Barbara L. Duffy of Ferris, Roger Duffy of Carthage, Robert Duffy (Gail) of Ferris, Richard Duffy (Stacy) of Carthage, Lisa Duffy of Colchester and Peggy Sue Duffy of Ft. Madison; his sister-in-law Barbara A. Duffy; and his great-nieces, Bernadette Duffy, Brynleigh Oest and Katelynn Ashbaker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Printy Funeral Home (405 Cherry St, Carthage, IL 62321). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the Moss Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Faith Assembly of God Church in Hamilton or St. Jude's Hospital.
