She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Perkins and Maude Perkins (Ahrens); her daughter-in-law Dixie Van Zee; her siblings, Irene Perkins, Marilyn Murphy (James), Paul Perkins and Kenneth Perkins; and her siblings-in-law, Glen Van Zee (Harriet), Clarence Van Zee (June) and Vivian Meyers.
She is survived by: her spouse Gene Van Zee; her children, Steve of Gibson, Robert (Susan Hutchinson) of Bloomfield and Rita Striegel (Phil) of Coralville; her grandchildren, Joshua Van Zee (Kristin) of Oskaloosa, Heath Van Zee (Samantha) of Blairstown, Ashley Reif (Michael) of Montezuma, Jeremy Van Zee (Stacy) of New Sharon, Kyle Van Zee (Lindsay) of Dexter, Kevin Van Zee of New Sharon, David Striegel (Brooke Gifford) of Westlake Village, CA, Scott Striegel (Miranda) of St. Anthony, MN and Katie Josephson (Adam) of Oceanside, CA; and her sister-in-law Martha Perkins of Ottumwa. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
