It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leota Gerken of George, Iowa, who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dick Siebrands and Trena Siebrands (Goldhorn); her husband Jack; her son James Gerken; her siblings, Elvina Siebrands, Margaret Krull, Lavonne Klaassen, Ben, Laurence and Richard Siebrands; and her siblings-in-law, Irene Siebrands, Henry Krull and Alfred Klaassen.
She is survived by: her children, John Gerken (Maria) of Doon, IA, Mary Gerken of May City, IA, Ruthie Dickmann (Mark) of George, Jackie Kruger of Navarre, FL, Lori Sneller (Eldon) of Doon, Charlie Gerken (Georgia) of George, IA, Cindy Kruse (Paul) of Sioux Falls, SD and Darwin Gerken (Brenda) of George. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
