She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Kruse and Louise M. Kruse (Rudloff); and her siblings, Luetta Eberline, Roger Kruse, Merrill Kruse and Nadine Wickersham-Krull.
She is survived by: her husband James Starr; her children, Susan Griffith (Steve) of Boone, IA, Kayleen Bathke (James) of George, IA, Thomas Starr (Lauri) of George, IA and Tye Starr (Gretchen) of Holland, MI; and her sisters-in-law, Mickey Kruse Arneson, Mardee Starr and Carolee Cuperus. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the Jack Sauter American Legion, 604 East Michigan Avenue, George, Iowa 51237.
