It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Joan Spreng of George, Iowa, born in Dow City, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Houston and Laura Houston (Wilder); her husbands, Leonard Van Arsdol and James Spreng; and her sons, Jim Van Arsdol and Rich Van Arsdol.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte (Rick Gohring) of Norfolk, NE, David Van Arsdol (Jenni) of Nebraska City, NE and Todd Van Arsdol (Cori) of Dow City; her stepson Brian Spreng (Mary) of Arion; and her brother Kenneth Houston (Rita) of Fernandina Beach, FL. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
