He is survived by: his wife Karen Mitchell of Estherville; his children, Steven Hofbauer (Peggy) of Spencer and Lora Nielsen (Tracy) of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, Ronald Hofbauer (Ruth) of Sebring, Florida, Jim Hofbauer of Buffalo Center and Judy Boeckholt (Alan) of Buffalo Center.
