He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Behrens and Henrietta Behrens (Sohl); his stepmother Helen; and his parents-in-law, Verna and John Duin.
He is survived by: his wife Iva Behrens of George, IA; his sons, Paul (Amy Behrens) of Brandon, SD and Matthew (Stefanie Behrens) of Sioux Center; his grandchildren, Hailey Behrens, Hannah Behrens, Hilary Behrens, Hayden Behrens, Peter Behrens and Morgan Behrens; his sister Karen Brandt (Dale) of Spencer, IA; his sister-in-law Laura Marquardt (Bill) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his nieces and nephews, Megan Brandt, Dustin Brandt (Andrea), Chris Marquardt, Dana Bigge (Chad), Brooks Bigge and Jules Bigge.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George (300 E Dakota Ave, George, IA 51237). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church-Hull (3483 290th St, Hull, IA 51239).
