He is survived by: his wife Kristi Patten; his son Kyle Schachterle (Erin); his grandchild Cadence of Battle Creek; his siblings, Tom Schachterle (Vicki) of Geneva and Lesa Blatchford (Greg) of Newton; his brothers-in-law, Kirk Patten (Tina) of Indianola and Kyle Patten (Sue) of Bondurant; and his nieces and nephews, Troy Schachterle of Lincoln, Neb, Travis Schachterle (Heather) of Independence, Cari Stoltz (Mark) of Muscoda, Travis Patten (Sheena) of St. Albert, Alberta and Kassie Runyan (Rick) of Manhattan.
