She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Blackstone and Mary Blackstone (Novacek); her husband Ronald "Ron" Smith; her daughters, Susanne Anderson of Marshalltown and Diane Smith of Pleasant Hill; her grandchildren, Kyle Smith (Sarah), Allese Brooks and Luke Anderson; her great grandchildren, Isaac Smith and Asher Smith; and her sister Linda Blackstone of Oelwein.
