He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert B. Beyer and Elton Shaw Beyer; his wife Bonnie; and his son Timothy Robert (Timmy). He is survived by: his daughter Robyn Diane Beyer (Quamme) of Waterloo; his grandsons, Timothy Robert Beyer and Erik Quamme (Brittany) of La Crosse, WI; his sister Barbara Berry (Don) of Naples, FL; his siblings-in-law, EvaLee Fennern of Atkins, Carol Rehder of Blue Grass, Kathie Adams (Jerry) of Vinton and Tom Johnson (Jane) of Vinton; and his caregiver Kris of Vinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
