With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eldo Henry Meyer of Garrison, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Meyer and Beulah Meyer (Geiger); and his siblings, Richard Meyer of Vinton and Ruth Block of California. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Gluesing of Newhall Iowa; his children, Steve Meyer (Teresa) of Garrison and Connie Mortvedt (Randy) of Ames; his brother Bob of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Amy Cline (Matt), Emily Hanson (Rob), Christen Meyer and Rachel Mortvedt (Evan); and his great grandchildren, Adah, Knox, Jael, Lena, Sandy, Gwen, Tate and Elliot.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home - Vinton (212 E 6th St, Vinton, IA 52349). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (101 N Walnut Ave, Garrison, IA 52229). A burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Garrison Cemetery (1776 61st St, Garrison, IA 52229). A reception will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (101 N Walnut Ave, Garrison, IA 52229).
