With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William K. Katter Sr. of Garner, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Katter and Freda Katter (Kyhl); his brother Arthur Katter, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Emil Broers. He is survived by: his wife Alyce Ann Katter; his children, Valerie Heemstra (Ron) of Sioux Center, IA, Vickie Svendsen (Mark) of Castle Rock, CO, Kelly Katter (Kendra) of Oklahoma City, OK and Bill Katter, Jr. of Garner; his friend Kathy Gauger of Forest City; his grandchildren, Kim Bosma (Kevin) of Sioux Center, Kayla Gotto (Cory) of Sioux Center, Kyle Heemstra of Sioux Center, Tasha Svendsen of Castle Rock, CO, Nicole Ortiz (Damian) of Windsor, CO, Drake Katter (Emi), Dylan Katter, Dahlton Katter and Marissa Katter of Oklahoma City, OK; his great grandchildren, Malia, Hayes, Ledger Bosma, Callum and Haven Gotto of Sioux Center; his siblings, Svea, Eira Ortiz, March and Anita Broers of Ventura, IA; and his sister-in-law Gloria Warren of Shafter, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The service will be livestreamed on the Cataldo Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 10:50 A. M. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
