He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Halverson and LaVera Halverson (Lemke). He is survived by: his wife Kerry Alman of Garner; his children, Ryan Bakke (Jana) of Urbandale, Rachel Holmberg (Trent) of Adel, Steven Halverson (Morgan) of Johnston and Kate Pergande (Kaleb) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Alayna, Ashlyn, Ajay Bakke, Bennett, Walker, Harper Holmberg, Tegan, Tristan, Trinley Halverson, Isaiah, Gwen and Zeb Pergande; and his sister Renita Ray of Chaska, MN.
