Lyle Sharar Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2019, at the age of 91, Lyle Sharar (Garner, Iowa), born in Alden, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Sharar and Ella Sharar (Alverson); his grandsons, Christopher and Chad Guthmiller; and his brother LaVerne Sharar.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Kempthorne; his daughters, Cynthia Guthmiller of McCook Lake, SD, Debra Wiese (Richard) of Garner and Tamara Sharar (Matt); his grandchildren, Dustin, Mandy, Jason Guthmiller (Melissa), Elizabeth, Bryan (Nicole), Andrea Rigsbee, Mandalynn Wiese, Adrian and Lauren Arnold (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Kailey Johnson, Alex Guthmiller, Maci, Kynlee, Lincoln and Braelynn Rigsbee; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Sharar of Ankeny. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Garner or MercyOne North Iowa Hospice.
