It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leila C. Kruger of Garner, Iowa, who passed away on October 6, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Shane and Delma Shane (Carpenter); her husband Roy M. Kruger; her daughter Sherrie Ann Oppman; her brother Neal Shane (Betty); her parents-in-law, Carl Janssen (Etta), Helen DePrenger (Leo), Andrew Kruger (Tena), Bob Robertson (Grace), Clarence Pieper (Agnes), Herman Kruger (Barbara), Jake Kruger, Bob Lund and Paul Warschkow (Jennie); and her nephews, Gary Pieper, Myrl Kruger, Michael Shane, Michael Rochester and Jeff Rochester.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Kruger (Ginny) of Ankeny, Larry Kruger (Pam) of Thornton, Vicky Sankey (Bill) of Garner and Sandy Alne (John) of Rockwell City; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hall, Roxanne Oppman, Katie, Tyler, Caleb, Isaac Kruger, Ryan Kruger (Kaycee), Justin Kruger, Aaron Kruger (Ashley), Joshua Sankey (Diana), Jenna Gaskill (Scott), Jacob Sankey (Renee), Seth Alne (Cailey) and Jesse Alne (Sheyenne); her sisters, Eloise Lund of Garner and Darlene Dunbar (Don) of East Peoria, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Hilda Kruger of Grimes and Frank Kruger (Ethel) of Cameron, WI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
