Gary D. Schisel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary D. Schisel of Garner, Iowa, who passed away on September 21, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schisel and Galya Schisel (Walkner); and his siblings, Mavis Peterson (John), Jack, Elling, Larry and Bob Schisel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean of Garner; his daughters, Kim Prohaska (Don) of Garner, Molly Snyder (Mitch) of Fort Worth, TX and Kerry Murphy (Mike) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Rachel Ricke, Jason Ricke, Elle Snyder, Ben Murphy, Will Murphy and Jeremy Snyder (Kaci); his great grandchildren, Isaac and Ruth; his grandchild Cory Snyder (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Geneva and Errol; his sister Betty Anderson (Ed) of Clear Lake; and his sisters-in-law, Bess Schisel of Garner and Linda Schisel of Garner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside memorial service open to the community will be held 10 a. m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Concord Township Cemetery in Garner.
