He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond and Meta Buckley (Klinge); his son Steven Buckley; his grandson Ryan Hrubes; and his siblings, Ella Marie Ridder (Jim), Margaret McLaughlin (Tony), Leonard and Maurice Buckley.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Brozik; his children, Barbara Dodd (Rod) of Garner, Thomas Buckley of Aledo, IL, Carol Tlach (Jerry) of Britt, Robert Buckley (Lola Vaith) of Garner, Linda Gomez (Jim) of Nora Springs, IA, Bonnie Hackman (Dale) of Fort Atkinson, IA and Paul Buckley (Danika) of Center Point, IA; his grandchildren, Brandon Hrubes (Kelsey), Andrea Welter (Tom), Nathan Hrubes, Travis Dodd, Corey Dodd (Emily), Julie Schreiber (Matt), Lori Kelly (David), Michael Tlach (Amanda), Kevin Tlach (Kate), Bridget Vaith (Aaron Weddle), Alli Vaith (Joseph Seltun), Nicholas Gomez, Amanda Blanchard (Peter), Patrick Gomez, Garrett Hackman, Jacob Hackman (Megan), Justin Hackman (Kelsey Hageman), Brody Hackman, Dustin Smith (Cammie), Cole Buckley and Kaden Buckley; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Buckley of Clear Lake and Ron Brozik (Phyllis) of Garner.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family funeral mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Fr. Paul Lippstock officiating.
