He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gifford and Meta Gifford (Tietz); and his in-laws, Rosetta Blumer (Bob), Elvera Blumer (Pete), Gladys Boeckholt (Harley), Maxine Gifford, Gordon Gifford (MaryJo), Leona Larson (Gene), Jack Gifford, Darlene Gross (Perry), Gary Gifford, Jerry Gifford, Liz Gifford, Neil Wubben, Gary Ackerman, Deloris Klaas and Linda Bunkofske.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie of Garner; his children, Robin Hundley (Matt) of Albert Lea, MN, Tami Jo Bullock (Brian) of Adel and Travis Gifford (Amy) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Chandra Richmond (John), Sarah Jensen (Josh), Madison Arndorf (Corey), John Hundley (Emily), Whitney Rairden (Adam), Abbi Bullock, Ava and Luke Gifford; his great grandchildren, Emma, Rohan, Ryker, Riley, Miriam, Leah, Bennett, Haven and Briggs; and his siblings, Deloris Boeckholt (Elvin), Dick Gifford, Lucille Faber (Melvin), Karen Wubben and Diana Bunkofske (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cataldo Funeral Home-Garner Chapel (160 E 4th St, Garner, IA 50438). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (18508 IA-9, Forest City, IA 50436).
