She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Blumer and Fannie Blumer (Heginger); her husband Alvin Halverson; her great grandchild Ethan Kuker; her siblings, Ivadell Schoenwetter and Robert Blumer; her siblings-in-law, Raymond Schoenwetter, Franklin Halverson, Leo Hammond, Iola Blumer, Thelma Blumer and LaVera Halverson; and her niece Cindy Blumer-Francis.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Halverson (Carol) of Coralville, Gloria Halverson of Garner, Brenda Zimple (David) of North Liberty and Sandra Crone (Matthew) of Garner; her grandchildren, Stephanie Zimple, Mindy Kuker (Ryan) and Logan Crone; her great grandchildren, Ashton Kuker and Althea Engman; her brothers, Donald Blumer of Cassville, WI and Harold Blumer of Garner; and her sister-in-law Norma Hammond of Mason City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
