It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard V. Nedved (Garner, Iowa), who passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Nedved and Agnes Nedved (Hrubes); his parents-in-law, William and Donna Bell; his brothers-in-law, Dean Weiland and Richard Smith; and his niece Melanie Mitchell.
He is survived by: his former spouse Suzan Kay Bell; his wife Sue of Garner; his children, Nicole Depner (Christopher) of Park Ridge, IL, Michael Nedved of Huntington Beach, CA, Kelly Hemmer (Jason) of Urbandale, Brian Nedved (Lynde Weatherford) of Coralville and Katy Campbell (Nathan) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Maggie (Ryan Depner), Ben (Charlie Hemmer), Braxton Nedved (Carter) and Kylie Campbell; his siblings, Marian Smith of Waukee, Elaine Weiland of Britt, Marlene Christianson (Larry) of West Memphis, AR, Kathy Westemeyer (Tim) of Wintrhop, IA and Gerald Nedved (Pat) of Garner; his sister-in-law Linda Revell (Tom); and his friend Gerald Pedersen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family memorial mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Fr. Paul Lippstock officiating The service will be live streamed on the Cataldo Funeral Home Facebook page 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bernie Nedved Memorial Fund in care of Cataldo Funeral Home, 760 Center Ave., Garner, IA 50438.
