He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Eglseder and Hilda Eglseder (Schoulte); his wife Emma Jean (Beckett); his brother Francis Eglseder; his daughter-in-law Theresa Miller Eglseder; and his stepson Jeff.
He is survived by: his son Andy Eglseder of Luxemburg; his stepchildren, Dan Portwine of Illinois, Julia Coughlin of Garnavillo and Steven Portwine (Lily) of Texas; and his grandchildren, Allison, Katherine, Abigail and Elijah Eglseder. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morris Funeral Home - Garnavillo (001 South Industrial Park Rd, Garnavillo, IA 52049). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
