We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024, at the age of 88, LaVerne R. Troester of Garnavillo, Iowa, born in Guttenberg, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Troester and Zala Troester (Brown); his wife Elaine Stroschein; his children, Carol and LeAllen; his granddaughter Alissa; his siblings, Leland, Karen Standorf (Harlan) and Curtis; and his brother-in-law Larry Willer.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Dolly Klingeman of Monona, IA; his sons, Leland of McGregor, IA, Larry of Garnavillo, IA and Lance (Jamie) of College Station, TX; his siblings, Herbert (Theresa) of Vernal, UT, Rita Willer of Cedar Rapids, IA and Sharlene Milewsky (Stan) of Riceville, IA; and his sister-in-law Karla of Prairie du Chien, WI. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
