Berns of Garnavillo, Iowa, born in Garber, Iowa, who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Berns and Vera Berns (Koehn); his parents-in-law, Norbert and Luciel Kuehl; his son-in-law Tracy Werges; and his brother-in-law Richard Jutting.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Cheri Werges (Michael Behrend), Randy Berns (Jennifer) and Kevin Berns (Diane); his grandchildren, Tim Werges (Jamie), Kate Mueller (Zach), Josh Werges (Maddie Bozikis), Marissa Cadavid Berns (Camilo), Taylor Berns, Madison Berns (Terius South), Blake Berns (Emily Bonnett), Kaylee Berns and Ella Berns; his great grandchildren, Maeve, Jett, Rhys Mueller, Nile Werges and Luke Cadavid Berns; his brother L'Dean Berns (Bev); and his parents-in-law, Lanny, Linda Kuehl, LuAnn Jutting, David and Leslee Helle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
