He was predeceased by: his parents, Alverne Hustedt and Phyllis Hustedt (Winterhof); his nephew Brandon Scoles; his sister-in-law Karla Hustedt; his uncle Gaylen Winterhof (Pat); and his aunt Sheryl Drury.
He is survived by: his siblings, Randy Hustedt of Galva, IA and Carol Scoles (Mark) of Spring Green, WI; his nieces and nephews, Travis Scoles (Melissa), Sara Krumholz (Todd), Joel Hustedt (Jordan), Chad Hustedt (Jennifer), Keith Hustedt (Cori) and Dana Hustedt; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Owen, Taylor Scoles, Harper, Joey Krumholz, Eve, Jett Hustedt, Paisley, Presley, Grady Hustedt, Kason, Scotti Lee and Kade Hustedt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards Camp Okoboji in memory of Lanny.
