He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davenport and Darleen Davenport (Stamp); his grandparents, Charles, Esther Davenport (Nadelhoffer), Emiel and Agnes Stamp (Sorensen); his brother Dean Davenport of Odebolt; his stepfather Claire Bradtke; and his brother-in-law John Cork.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kay Cork of Ida Grove, Charles Davenport of Le Mars, Zoe Spitz of The Villages, FL, Janet Hansen of Cherokee and Glen Davenport of Paserobles, CA.; and his nieces and nephews, Jill Groetken, Klint Cork, Terry Zembsch, Judd Zembsch, Stephanie Hauser, Brandi Hansen and Bridget Ludwig.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested a memorial to the Galva Fire Department.
