He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Homewood; his children, JoLene Niewoehner (Ken) of Fredericksburg and Lonnie "Charlie" Slick of Fredericksburg; his grandchildren, Emily Ptacek (Zach), Nicole Quandahl (Justin), Erin Niewoehner (David Spier), Evan Niewoehner and Andrew Slick; his great grandchildren, Oliver Ptacek, Rosalia Ptacek and Kinley Papousek; and his sister Jean Wesbrook (Louis) of Cedar Rapids.
