He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Uhlenberg and Ula Uhlenberg (Irons); his in-laws, Lloyd and Arlene Steege; his half-brother Frank Vest; and his sisters, Iva Jean Isenhower, Bertha O'Connell and Phyllis Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Uhlenberg of Fredericksburg; his sons, Michael Uhlenberg (Nancy) of Fredericksburg, Ronald Uhlenberg (Connie) of Marshalltown and Dean Uhlenberg (Jill) of Norfolk, NE; and his great-nieces, Megan Entwisle (Nick) of Fredericksburg, Kimberly Hoffman (Patrick) of New Hampton and Rebecca Valvoda (Scott) of Elma. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
