He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Sowers and Marian Sowers (Jeffries); and his brothers-in-law, Romaine Orth and Don Daggett. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Sowers of Fredericksburg; his son Matthew Sowers (Melissa) of Burnsville, Minnesota; his granddaughter Mara; and his siblings, Jeff Sowers (Marlys) of Milo, Ken Sowers (Barb) of Fredericksburg, Sue Orth of Plainfield, Melinda Daggett of Conrad, Merijo Boevers (Dale) of Farley, Kelly Diser (Scott) of Rochester and Kristen Christensen (Mark) of Saratoga. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
