He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandchildren, Landon Muerhoff, Reid Boedeker, Jordan Boedeker, Whitney Brusich, Cade Hansen, Jeslyn Kleinschmidt, Grace Hansen, Madelyn Ackley and Georgia Ackley; his parents, Ernst Boedeker and Clara Boedeker (Bruns); his wife Evelyn of Fredericksburg; his children, Kerry Boedeker Muerhoff (Allen) of Bloomington, Randy Boedeker (Kay) of Lawler, Linda Hansen of New Hampton and Candace Ackley (Mark) of Fredericksburg; his brothers-in-law, Hadwen Kleiss of Fredericksburg and Dale Edmonds of Mediapolis; his siblings, Roland Boedeker (Barb), Marion Boedeker and Louann Kleiss; his stepmother Margaret; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Edmonds. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
