We are sad to announce that on August 8, 2023, at the age of 85, James Curtis Mitchell of Fredericksburg, Iowa, born in Muscatine, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Curtis Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mitchell and Emma Mitchell (Bunn); his wife Nancy Gaffney; his siblings, Jacque Mitchell, Shirlee Howe and Judy Speicher; and his granddaughter Kari Harris.

He is survived by: his significant other Carol Schulz; his children, Lynne Harris, Kathy Gruenberg (Curt), Mike Mitchell and Cindy Mitchell; his sister Patricia Becker (Dan); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Mitchell, Dean Speicher and Jim Gaffney. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren.
