She was predeceased by: her parents, Epifanio Cardenas and Maria Elena Perales Cardenas; her husband Ramiro Hernandez; and her siblings, Emma Leal and Gilberto Cardenas.
She is survived by: her children, Maria Elena Plata (Eliseo) of Donna, TX, Anna Wallingford (Richard) of Revere, MO, Armando Hernandez (Sherri) of Ft. Madison and Pep Hernandez (Lori) of Ft. Madison; and her brothers, Jose Cardenas of Parlier, CA and Jesus Cardenas of Donna, TX. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
