He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Steeples, and Odetta Pottorff Steeples, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Beth Steeples of Ft. Madison; his siblings, Kenneth Steeples (Sharman) and Betsy Darley (Dan) of Ft. Madison; his stepchildren, Stacy Kurrle (Heath) of West Burlington, Christopher Schneider (Hope Lozano) of Ft. Madison and Nicholas Schneider of North Andover, Mass; his stepgrandchildren, Regan Garr, Kyra Garr, Rose Kurrle, Lucy Kurrle, Elijah Burk, Isiah Burk and Brody Kevin Schneider; his nieces, Eva Steeples, Emily Steeples, Ashlee Darley and Amy Mahoney; and his nephew Adam Darley. He is also survived by eleven great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory (3507 Avenue L, Fort Madison, IA 52627). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
