It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E Mayer (Fort Madison, Iowa), born in Farmington, Iowa, who passed away on February 7, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin C. Mayer and Mary Edna Mayer (Byers); his spouse Rose Marie Coleman (Koehler); and his sisters, Ruth and Roma.

He is survived by: his daughter Allison Box (Mark) of Fort Madison; and his grandchild Axel Box.
