She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kessler and Annie Grace Thomas (Wharton); her husband Willard E. "Bill" Pickard; and her daughter-in-law Monika Pickard. She is survived by: her children, Debbie McElderry, Carol Kelley (Dan) and Greg Pickard; her grandchildren, Shane Kelley (Kim), Robyn Hamilton (Brian), Heather Kelley, Brandon McElderry and Kristina Pickard (Patrick O'Connor); her great grandchildren, Hunter Kelley (Tatiana Motta), Chase Brown (Hailey), Aiden Kelley, Charlotte Kelley and Raylan O'Connor; and her great great grandchild Oliver Brown.

A memorial has been established for the Shriners Children's Hospital, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.
