He is survived by: his son Brian Martin (Amy) of Bemidji, MN; his stepchildren, Scott Messerly (Melissa) of Fort Dodge, Joshua Messerly of Los Angeles, CA and Mandy Messerly of Ames; his grandchildren, Conley, Sidney, Olivia and Drew; his sister Veronica Smith of Beaver Creek, OH; his pets, Gus and Piper; and his wife Caroline Messerly of Fort Dodge.
