He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Brown and Nadine Brown (Echelberger); and his brothers, Dennis Brown, Harold "Skip" Brown and John Brown.
He is survived by: his son William Jr. Brown (Carrie) of Council Bluffs; his sister Lynda Rupp (Joe) of Fort Dodge; his stepchildren, Robbie and Tami; his sister-in-law Kay Brown of Fort Dodge; and his former wife Libby Enquist. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
