He is survived by: his son William Jr. Brown (Carrie) of Council Bluffs; his sister Lynda Rupp (Joe) of Fort Dodge; his stepchildren, Robbie and Tami; his sister-in-law Kay Brown of Fort Dodge; and his former wife Libby Enquist. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
