He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Tierney and Iva Tierney (Fisher). He is survived by: his wife Jackie of Rutland; and his children, Katherine Tierney of Humboldt, Allen Tierney (Erin Quinn) of Ames and Mary Tierney of Rutland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humboldt County Historical Museum, the Humota Movie Group or the Humboldt Area Arts Council.
