With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steve Gibson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Steve Gibson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gibson and Lu Gibson (Alberson). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his sons, Nate Gibson (Julie) and Abbie Laufersweiler (Luke); his grandchildren, Emma Harms (Devon), Calvin Gibson (Karlee DeCoursey), Eva Gibson (Ryan McGuire), Maxxus, Ezra and Kash Laufersweiler; his siblings, Sally Klein (Mark), Anne Amore (Joe) and Andrew Gibson (David Storrs); his nieces and nephews, Eddie Klein (Lisa Baker), Kelly Klein (Rachel), Jill Jones (Shawn), Katy Bird, Alex Bird, Riley Bird, Ben Gibson (Amanda) and Ian Gibson (Jennifer); his pets, TJ and Gregory; and his former spouse Jodie Rosien.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

Steve enjoyed golf, building guitars and donating to groups and individuals, woodworking, collecting and repairing vintage hifi and radios and listening to music, especially Blues.
