She was predeceased by: her mother Gwendolyn Cornwell; and her grandmother Elizabeth Millang. She is survived by: her husband Steve Sanford; her sons, Austin Sanford (Emma) of Morton, IL and Nick Sanford (Sydney) of Cedar Falls, IA; her father Lowell Cornwell; and her sisters, Christine Cornwell and Lori Cornwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name will be donated to the Trinity Cancer Center and local charities.
