It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Thurston of Fort Dodge, Iowa, born in Lake City, Iowa, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Kindred and Stella Kindred (Vance); her husband Jimmy Thurston; her children, Vint Vader and Peggy Sue Vader; and her brothers, Terry Kindred, Bill Ludwig and Hap Ludwig.
She is survived by: her son Charles "Chuck" Vader (Karen) of Havelock; and her stepchildren, Vicki Nilles of Gilmore City, Bill Thurston of Thornton, CO, Connie Jordan (John) of Ames and Lisa Tool of Gilmore City. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
