He was predeceased by: his mother Janet Grace Warland; and his siblings, Matthew Huffman and Renee Huffman. He is survived by: his son Rodney Lee Huffman Jr. of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Jordan Mrozek and Justine Cox; his brothers, Russel (Kari Warland), Bill Blumberg of Grimes, Albert (Yvonne Huffman), Ronald (Kathy Huffman) and Mark (Keisha Huffman); his friends, Ivan and Eileen Whitehill; and his wife Terri McCord of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
