He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thorn and Mabel Thorn (Larsen); and his siblings, Robert "Bill" Thorn, Melvin Thorn, Jerry Thorn, Marian McArthur (Thorn) and Violet Ahrens (Thorn).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Thorn; and his sisters, Mildred Steineck of Boone, IA, Mary Lee Ingalls of Alleman, IA, Joyce Goos of Boone, IA and Dianne Christianson of California. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
