He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Tappe and Vera Hamilton Tappe; his daughters, Cindy and Kathy; and his siblings, Lyle and Jeannette.
He is survived by: his significant other Phyllis; his children, David Tappe (Judee) of Fort Dodge, Chris Tappe (Stephanie) of Boise, ID, Sarah Dziekonski (Lincoln) of Helena, MT and Stephen Tappe (April) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sisters, Marolyn, Carolyn and Lila. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
