She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gashel and Katherine Gashel (Hamilton); her husband Wade Vasbinder; her grandson Jonathan Wood; and her sister Frances Werth.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine "Kay" Ann Marshall (John) of Richardson, TX, Mary Ellen Wood (Marv) of Altoona, Iowa and Carol Marie Vasbinder of Escondido, CA; her grandchildren, Scott Marshall, Jeff Marshall, Joel Wood, Laura Buffington and Allison Wood; and her great grandchildren, Donovan Buffington, Athena Marshall, Fiona Wood and Aubrey Greenwood.
Memorials may be directed towards Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
